Amongst the many improvements effected by Mr. Rhodes at his charming retreat on the slopes of Table Mountain, is the renovation of the old Dutch Summerhouse. A great number of visitors make this spot a rendezvous on Sunday afternoons, from which a magnificent view of the Cape Flats and Mountains of Hottentots' Holland can be obtained stretching from the shores of Table Bay to False Bay.
